Urban Ghillie Suit used in Chicago Suburbs
Check out this ghillie suit that the SWAT forces are using in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. They are searching for an armed man who escaped from custody.

Robert Maday, the career criminal believed to be armed and on the loose in the Northwest suburbs, is believed to have hijacked a grey Volkswagen Jetta in Hoffman Estates around 6:45 a.m.
Police are also investigating his possible involvement in a bank robbery in west suburban Bloomingdale this morning…

Thats perty cool and all but the material is not that good for close range. I under stand u have a budget and all but still it looks like u just cut up a camauflage shirt in to little retangle peices and put it all to gether.

I’m not so sure that a ghillie suit would work on a sentient being (humans) very well, particularly in a urban area due to the general terrain of a built up area (square edges and repeating patterns)
but in this context the outline of the police officer his/her outline is sufficiently disrupted as to make an offender perhaps overlook the officer and definitely not immediately be sure that the weird grey blob is in fact a dude with a gun
and they guy with the ghillie suit is probably trained to stay very very still to avoid detection and use other cover closer to the target to further decrease his likelihood of detection so yer

Ummm this is stupid. I can easily see that guy. His black helmet and bullet proof vest, make him stand out.
